It was a pleasure to work with Phil on this video, who is a true professional as well as a greatly expressive artist. His idea was to recreate the experience of flying on a small plane toward the sea in the San Juan Islands, where he lives… except from the point of view of the Oskorei, a band of deities from the Nordic pantheon who create havoc as they fly over the countryside. Ultimately the direction swung from outright menace to a kind of pensive moodiness, but we were both happy with the final result.
